It's this one, isn't it?
Others have suggested that the Ravens job is most attractive.
I don't see it.
Look at Baltimore, Atlanta, and the Dolphins.
Clearly, Atlanta is the worst of the three. That is an apathetic sports market, even more so than this one -- and certainly when it comes to the NFL team. Arthur Blank has done even wackier things as owner than H. Wayne Huizenga, and it appears that at least Huizenga has learned some lessons. The roster isn't in much better shape than this one. There's some talent on defense, but D'Angelo Hall's status is in doubt.
None of the three franchises have a proven quarterback in place.
The Dolphins have the highest pick. While that can be a burden, at least it gives them some options.
This team had the worst season. That means just about any first-year record will be acceptable, other than 0-16 or another 1-15.
Say what you will of Huizenga -- and you have -- but he will spend, especially when desperate. And he is desperate.
Then he will stay out of the way. He won't be watching film on Mondays like Blank.
And, while I am an alumnus of a Baltimore university, and love that city, I would have to think that this is place is more attractive to free agents.
Fells Point or South Beach?
You decide.
